A strange encounter in Western New York State. Closed as unidentified, but we were unable to find any corroboration.

A single witness close encounter from Wirral, near Liverpool. We closed this unidentified, but low probability due to the lack of corroboration.
If you go to our (temporary) Github repository and look in the data folder, that is where we are starting to locate our UFO case data. All data on Github has been cleaned to remove any witness Personal Identifying Information (PII). At present, all that is there are the Probability/Strangeness ratings from the cases we have issued public reports for, but the collection will grow, and we will eventually migrate to a new repository (we will give you plenty of advanced notice of that). We recommend you install the github app to access the repository.
In addition to the data, we also provide scripts to plot the data. Right now, all that is there is a simple R script, but that will also grow and diversify over time. Below is a simple plot using the script.

Multiple witnesses saw a glowing orb moving over a lake in Colorado while photographing the sky with a 6mm fisheye lens. The lake and the opposite shore of the lake are visible in these photos.
The case was closed due to discontinued witness response, but we have a large collection of photographs. In some of these, the orb appears to be visible and is just over the lake.

This presentation assumes you know nothing about UFOs, and provides a very quick overview. The whole thing is meant to be gone through in 30-40 minutes. As usual, it is Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike.

As always, if you have any more information on this case, please contact us. Your identity will not be disclosed.

Photographs were received via e-mail, but no chain of custody was provided. After analysis of the photos and their metadata, we concluded that they were a probable hoax.
