Simone Mendez in the Air Force in the early 1980s

Transcript for this Episode

Paul Carr welcomes Simone Mendez, whose contact with what appeared to be an official document detailing detection of extraterrestrial spacecraft when she was in the US Air Force caused her several months of grief and resulted in the loss of her Top Secret clearance.

Here we give Ms. Mendez a chance to tell her story and set the record straight. Her story  turns out to have many unanswered questions.

A statement for listeners from Simone Mendez:

After the audio was released, Ms. Mendez e-mailed and asked if I could make public the following statement.

I regret having kept the ufo printout, and having believed the providing co worker.  I know exactly what you listeners are thinking of that.  Just as it was derogatorily repeatedly made known to me in no uncertain terms, over the years, by certain ufo enthusiasts and online commenters.

I have a reason, that is not an excuse.

In the year 2018, I see and know the truth about me, of 1981.

I would rather not publicize (in medical vernacular,) a condition.

I am an Autistic person, which I was not awake to that fact, until my mid 40’s.

We types tend to latch our focus onto one thing, with mental blinders on the sides.

I was naive and socially inept, and my then-unacknowledged condition also did not help me on polygraph exams.

If I could go back in time knowing what I know now, I would never have entered the service

Report a UFO to API

API Case Files is the official podcast of Aerial Phenomena Investigations.

In this episode, Marsha Barnhart examines closely an Identified case in Colorado, and a Brooklyn case closed as Unidentified. Paul Carr covers his recently closed-as-Unidentified case in Manhattan, and Prof. Antonio Paris briefly outlines his most recent case still under investigation in Texas.

Antonio, Paul and Marsha discuss the attributes of what they’re looking for in prospective investigators to join the API Team; that discussion began with the scientific and academic communities extreme reticence to engage in UAP and anomalous phenomena research.

Paul Carr presents the 8th installment in the series Unidentified Science, this time on Scientific Skywatching.

Conversation 1 – Martin Willis

Transcript of this Conversation

Paul Carr in conversation with host and producer of Podcast UFO, Martin Willis.

About our Guest, Martin Willis:
The subject of UFOs has fascinated Martin since his youth, yet he was on the fence about the subject. He experienced a sighting in 2006 in Carmel Valley, CA, that solidified his beliefs that UFOs really do exist. Since this time, Martin has paid attention to what others have to say about the phenomenon with an open mind. Pondering what UFOs may be, or if they are possibly extraterrestrial helped spark his interest to another level. In the last number of years, Martin has become interested in astronomy and always maintained a strong scientific fascination of our vast universe.

Martin feels certain that we are not alone and thinks it is possible that some small part of our government knows that and keeps it from us. As an armchair UFOlogist, Martin created Podcast UFO in November, 2011. Martin’s mission is to provide a place where anyone could interact and be heard who had a UFO experience or insight on the subject. Martin is an artist as well as a longtime antique & fine art appraiser.
