Episode 13 – Rotating Rings, Large Dark Objects, and Strange Lights in the Neighborhood!
Released: 15 July 2018
Duration: 1 hour, 41 seconds
Host and Producer Marsha Barnhart welcomes API investigators Paul Carr and Savannah Dollison. The three cover a few of their recent investigations in-depth during a round-table discussion. They examine sightings in New Jersey, New York, Utah and Georgia, which covered the gamut from overhead “fly-by’s” to unnerving close encounters!
What do photos and videos of Unidentified Aerial Objects add to the tangibility of “evidence” within the UFO research field? In fact, what IS “evidence” and what IS “proof”? Paul looks at these issues in episode 10 of his Unidentified Science series.
erratum: API is no longer using the “director” e-mail address. instead use “UFO”, or send via encrypted protonmail.com using the address “Reportaufo”.
At the Grave of Paul Bennewitz
After smooth jazz, lite beer, and stock photography, one of the greatest evils in the human universe is disinformation – a way of manipulating people (or even entire fields of inquiry) using information crated in fact and mixed with subtle untruths that comport with the target’s expectations. The payload for disinformation can poison the well for an entire area of inquiry, as well as discrediting individuals. It is also a kind of unethical social experiment, to see how the public and media react. As we have also seen recently, it can be used to influence the low information demographic for political gain or to stir up unrest. A skilled disinformer can play his marks like a banjo, and inject well engineered falsehoods into the mythosphere that may take decades to expunge.
No one wants to be played, and in the current environment in which bogus information is pushed our way from many directions, we need to have our defenses up and be vigilant. We need to be especially alert when the news is what we want to hear.

Transcript for this Conversation
Host Paul Carr in conversation with Dr. Kevin Knuth, author of a recent article in The Conversation entitled “Are we alone? The question is worthy of serious scientific study.”
The conversation centers around strategies for lifting “the veil of ridicule” that surrounds UFO studies, and Kevin’s own experience, and how he came to take the topic seriously himself.

Redacted ROI for Case 13-020 – Maryland
Case 13-020 was a large structured craft observed by two witnesses early in the morning of 9 November 2012 in Carroll and Frederick Counties in Maryland. We were able to approximately estimate the size, location and altitude of the craft. Unfortunately, no further corroboration was found.
Redacted ROI for Case 18-009 – CE-1 in Utah
Case 18-009 is a 2 witness nighttime CE-1 case from August 2017 in Utah. We were unable to identify the object seen. Strangeness 3, Probability 2.
You can contact us via telephone or encrypted Protonmail
We have a voicemail line available. This might be particularly useful for sightings in progress. Just call 301-615-0474 in the US. Our international dialing prefix is 011. If we can’t call back right away, just leave a voicemail and we will call you back as soon as possible – in many cases within minutes. We will not use this recording of your voice on our podcast or any other public materials without your express permission.
Unless things are evolving in real time, we prefer you use our contact form, or our sighting report form if you need to report a new sighting.
If you prefer to send us an encrypted e-mail, we have an account on protonmail.com with user name: reportaufo.
You can use whatever e-mail account you are comfortable with to contact us, but Protonmail has apps available for both iOS and Android, and a basic account is free if you wish to give it a try.
Redacted ROI for Case 17-029
A video report from Cornwall in the UK. In late August of 2017, witness shot a time lapse video of clouds near his home. He later noticed two objects apparently moving slowly together in the video.
Redacted ROI for Case 12-097-CE-1
Witness in Montgomery County, Maryland saw the slow flyby of a “huge” black triangle in December 2012.

We only had limited information on this case. Most of the events took place in 1997, and there is no contemporaneous documentation. No UAP was sighted. We document this case in the hope that it might be helpful to other researchers.
