This is our first anonymous API Conversation, although we are using the real first name of our Witness. A former Air Force F111 technician tells us his story about a UFO encounter captured on RADAR at Cannon Air Force base in New Mexico in the mid 1970s, and what followed after that.

If you served with Airman Pat at Cannon AFB in the mid 1970s, or if you were in Clovis, NM at that time, we’d like to hear your side of the story.

Case 21-023 (Isle of Man) closed as low strangeness Unidentified

Case 21-023 were three objects of highly variable brightness observed and recorded on video by two witnesses in Douglas, Isle of Man. They chased the objects in a car until they were no longer visible. Since we were unable to confirm that the objects were moving with the wind, we can’t conclude that they were balloons, although the movement is not anomalous and is consistent with balloons. Furthermore, assuming they remained near where they were when they last disappeared, they would have to be very large. Birds were also considered as a possible explanation. although the identification wasn’t clear.

We ask for sketches, and here is some scientific support of that practice

We encourage our witness to make sketches as soon as possible after their sightings – before they contact us, and certainly before they discuss any details with other witnesses. This is true regardless of whether there are photos or videos. Now, some new research at University of Waterloo in Canada lends some scientific support to this practice. They found that drawing is superior to other memory retention techniques. So, not only does making a sketch help us understand what witnesses saw, it helps the witnesses retain their memory better.

We hope this will be followed up by more research that will help us understand in more detail how the sketch reinforces or affects witness memories.
